James Roger Garland,"Weaver"
of Pippa Passes,KY. died December 24, 1981, in Seymour, Indiana. He was shot and killed by the Seymour Police after a 4 hour stand-off. Jimmy was a kind & gentle soul most times. He loved all animals, even the one's that most people hate. He was an avid arrowhead hunter and loved nothing better then to walk a freshly plowed field, looking for arrowheads. He loved to fish, and go frog gigging and spend time out of doors and on the water. He was a great musician and singer having been taught by his Mom, a local Country Music singer. He made friends with everyone he met, and kids were always drawn to him. He would just as soon talk to an adult as to talk to a child. Even though he was 21 years older then me, it never really seemed that way? Whatever happened or why, he was my Big Brother, "Nim Nim" and I loved him. Rest in Peace Jimmie, watch over us, and keep us safe...
Love you lots, Becky
