Beverly Ann was the daughter of James Richard Jones and Helen Christine Urquhart. After Beverly's father died, her mother married Ernest Bulpitt.

Graveside funeral services for life long Bishop resident Beverly Ann Williams, 72, will be held Saturday, April 5 at the East Line Street Cemetery. Mt. Whitney Chapter #197 Order of Eastern Star will officiate. Born in big Pine on April 16, 1924, she died April 1 at her home in Bishop following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Williams began her nursing career by enrolling in the nursing school at the Los Angeles County General Hospital in September, 1944, and graduated in 1947. upon returning to Bishop, she went to work at the hospital, which at that time was located in a barracks building at the airport. She oversaw the building of the hospital on West Line Street and helped supervise the move from the airport to the new hospital. During her many years at Northern Inyo Hospital she saw many changes and additions to the original building. Besides being a registered nurse, she became a medical records technician and assisted in forming the Medical records Department for the hospital. She was also very active in the training of the Candy Striper program and nurse's aide program. In her later life she spent many years at the Lone Pine Convalescent Hospital as the Director of Nursing. In other interests besides nursing, she was active in the Order of Rainbow of Girls. She was Past Worthy Advisor, Mother Advisor and she had the honor of Grand Cross of Color. In the Order of Eastern Star, she was Past Worthy Matron and had served in the Grand Chapter of the State of California. While still in nurse's training, she married George Elzie Williams in May of 1946 at her parents' home in Bishop. After the honeymoon, she returned to Los Angeles and finished her nurse's training. Survivors include her husband George of Bishop; son Lloyd and his wife Valorie, and their children Victoria Ann and Billy Irl, all of Bishop; daughter Diane Sue Williams of Lone Pine; son George and his wife Jane, and their son Phillip of Billing, Montana.
