Thomas Patrick Higgins, Jr. of Pascagoula passed away suddenly on Friday, September 13, 2013. He was born on May 12, 1945 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to Thomas Patrick and Barbara Eldred Higgins, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by an infant son, Gregory Trent Higgins.

An Eagle Scout, Tom graduated from the University of Notre Dame, and received an MBA from Michigan State University. A Navy Vet, he served 24 years as a Supply Officer, retiring in 1992 as a Commander. He was awarded the Defense Superior Service Medal, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, and Navy Commendation Medal. He worked at Ingalls, Integrated Logistics Support for 10 years, retiring in 2003. Tom was a member of Sacred Heart Church and the Knights of Columbus.
