After the death of the father, also a sister, in 1895, Frank and his mother moved to Nevada, Mo., making their home there for several years. During this time Frank united with the Trinity M. E. Church. When the mother died the home was broken up and Frank came to Nebraska to live, this being about twelve years ago. He made his home with his sister, Mrs. James R. McCormick. He united with the Congregational Church of Palisade during this time.
About a month ago he came to the McCormick home, being in very poor health, and his sister, Mrs. L. Skinner, assisted by the relative, cared for him doing all that could be done. He passed away Monday morning at 4:55 o'clock.
Three brothers and three sisters survive him: J.B. Harris , Nevada, Mo., Henry Harris, Iola, Kansas, Fred Harrisa of Los Angeles, California, Mrs. Mary Baker, Claytonville, Ill., Mrs. J. R. McCormick and Mrs. William B. Skinner, both of Palisade, Ne.
Funeral services were held in the Congregational Church Tuesday afternoon at 1 o'clock, conducted by Rev. E. I. Grinnell, assisted by Rev. J. D. Walker. His favorite hymn "Catter Seeds of Loving Deeds."" Oh, Think of the Home Over There,"and "It is Well with My Soul" were sung by the quartet. He was laid to rest in Rest Haven Cemetery.
(Believe this is the old cemetery up on the hill southeast of Palisade. Most people later moved to the main cemetery where Frank is buried.)
