Martha Dixon James Procter, daughter of Isaac Lunsford James and Elizabeth A. Ashburn James was born in Logan County Ky. Married Benjamin Ellis Procter 10 Sept 1846. There was five children born to them : James Henry Procter, Emma Adelaide Procter, Elizabeth (Lizzie)F. Procter, Ben S. Procter, and Mary Anna Procter. ( Emma Adelaide married John Wesley Linton) Elizabeth "Lizzie" married Thomas A. Linton, Mary Anna married James W. Stowers, there is no records for Ben S. Procter other than a birth record. Benjamin Ellis died in 1855 and Martha Dixon James Procter married John R. Bell 31 Dec 1856. There was two children born to Martha and John Bell, William W. Bell in 1858 and Sarah Anna Bell in 1860. It is not known why Martha's headstone left the Bell name off.
