Sibyl Ann Bell, age 68, of Hayesville, NC passed away Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at her residence.
She was a native of Macon County, NC and the daughter of Kathryn Wilson Bell of Hayesville, NC and the late Anderson Davidson Bell. Sibyl worked in the Clay County School system for 30 years as a teacher. She was a member of the Optimus Club, was a Guardian Ad-Litem, and did foster care for over 100 children. She taught Sunday school and Vacation Bible School.
Sibyl attended New Life Church in Hayesville.
In addition to her father she was preceded in death by her brother, David Bell.
In addition to her mother she is survived by her daughter and her partner, one sister, a sister-in-law, two grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 PM, Sunday, November 10, 2013 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel of Hayesville. Rev. Greg Carroll will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM, Saturday, November 9, 2013 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel of Hayesville.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund, 14 Penn Plaza, Suite 1710, New York, NY 10122.
