FRED EICHHORN
Fred Eichhorn, a former resident of Marion County, died Tuesday evening at his home in St. Joseph, Mich., where he operated a fruit farm. He was 76 years old. He was born Feb. 22, 1874 in Richland Township, the son of Philip and Margaret Yeager Eichhorn.
He was a member of the Methodist Church in St. Joseph.
Preceding him in the death was his wife, the former Ida Merchant of Marion. Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Helen Silkie of Benton Harbor; a granddaughter, Ann Ellyn Silkie of Benton Harbor; two sisters, Mrs. Laura E. Sweney and Mrs. Pete Lemmer of near Marion, and three brothers, John Eichhorn and Harvey Eichhorn of near Marion, and Samuel Eichhorn of near Cardington.
Funeral services will conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Benton Harbor, with burial in St. Petersburg, Fla.

Funeral services were held yesterday afternoon at two o'clock in the Kerlikowske chapel, St. Joseph, for Fred Eichhorn, who died last Tuesday. The Rev. Glenn Frye of the Methodist Peace Temple, Bentor Harbor, officiated.
The body has been shipped to St. Petersburg, Fla., for burial on Monday in the Royal Palm cemetery there.
Mrs. Mildred Johnson presided at the organ.
Attending the services from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Eichhorn, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Eichhorn, Mr. and Mrs. John Eichhorn, Marion, O., Herman Scammerhorn, Denver, Colo., Reuben Scammerhorn, Spring Arbor, Mich., and Persis Schultz, Dighton, Mich.
