Laura May, 74, of Joes Creek, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, November 8, after an illness.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Cephia Estep Adkins; sister, Josie Adkins; brothers, Joe, Hubert, Bernie, Ira, Clifford and Henry.
She was a member of Mt. Herman F.W.B. Church at Joes Creek.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Jackie; two sons, Gary (Kim) of Bloomingrose, and Jackie (Connie) of Danville; four grandchildren, Corey, Brittany, Tori and Eric; several nieces and nephews which she loved dearly; and a host of family and friends.
Funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, November 11, at Handley Funeral Home, Danville with Pastor Tim Oakes officiating. Burial will follow in Pineview Cemetery, Orgas.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
