Cyrus E. Hancock Died Early today; Funeral Sunday, 2:30 p.m.

Cyrus E (Cy) Hancock, Missouri Pacific and Mobile and Ohio employee, of Anna, died at the home of his sister, Mrs. Adolph Naegele here this morning., April 13, at 6:50 o’clock at the age of 65 years. Mr. Hancock had been ill about 4 weeks from the flu pneumonia and heart complications.

He was born in Alto Pass and had been removed to the home of his sister here about a week ago.

Survivors include sisters and brothers, Artemas Hancock, Alto Pass, Nelson Hancock, St. James, Mo., Mrs. Adolph Naegele and Mrs. Lewis Rhodes, Murphysboro. Two brothers preceded him in death.

He was a member of the Modern woodmen of America and of the Centenary Methodist church of Murphysboro.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:30 Sunday afternoon in Alto Pass at the Baptist church with Rev. Sweltzer and Rev. Thomas Renfro officiating and Interment will be in the Alto Pass cemetery.

The body will remain at the Crashaw funeral Home until 2 p.m. Sunday and will then be taken to the church at Alto Pass.
