Lawrence "JR" Beauchamp Jr., 83, passed away on a Thursday, at the Bishop Noa Home.

Lawrence was the son of Lawrence and Esther (Eagle) Beauchamp Sr. He served his country proudly in the United States Army while stationed in Germany from 1951 to 1953.

Lawrence was united in marriage to Shirley Ann MaKosky on June 26, 1953, at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Flat Rock. They made their home in Flat Rock where they raised their five daughters. Lawrence worked at Bird's Eye Veneer Plant, Chicago Northwestern Railroad and Harnishfeger Crane Plant until they closed and moved. He also took a job at the State Fair Grounds for many years.

He was a lifelong member of Am Vets Post 123 and a past Post Commander. Lawrence and Shirley enjoyed pitching horseshoes, bowling, square dancing, snowmobiling and were very active in watching the Detroit Red Wings and Green Bay Packers on TV.

Lawrence was survived by: three daughters, a son-in-law, six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, two sisters-in-law, a brother-in-law, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley, two daughters, Cindy and Jean, his parents and a brother, Norbert.

Visitation at the Holy Family Catholic Church with Military Honors presented by the Delta County Veterans Council. Mass of Christian Burial officiated by Rev. Fr. Jose Maramattam.

Burial in Escanaba Township Cemetery, next to his wife.
