Father: Lyman Hotchkiss (1797-1878)

Mother: Harriet Munson (1809-1833)

M: Jane S. Neale 4/29/53 (Hotchkiss FN 614-837, her Father Albon Neale & Mother Mabel Hotchkiss). Jane later married Norman's brother Wooster. She (Jane) was B: 6/25/32 and D: 5/21/1912.

Children:

Arthur W. Hotchkiss B: 1856 & D: 1856

Wilbert S. Hotchkiss B: 7/1859 & D: ?, M: Lilly who B: 1862 & D: ?.

Captured 5/16/64.


Norman Hotchkiss Died as a POW at Camp Ford POW camp, Tyler TX on 27 Jan 1865.

Family records say he starved to death.

Navy POW (Acting Master USS Sabine, Frigate (sunk) Henry W. Washburn) says Norman Died of Disease, dysentery.

Enlisted on Feb 10, 1862 as a Private in the 13th Connecticut Infantry, Company B.
