S. S. Vermilya, a former resident of Bowling Green, OH, passed away at his home in St. Petersburg, FL. He was 94. Mr. Vermilya was born in Vermont and came to Ashland County, OH when a young man. He moved to Huron County and then to Wood County, seeling on a farm east of Portage, OH. Forty years ago, he and his wife moved into Bowling Green and remained here until 1917, when they moved to Florida, where they have spent the remainder of their lives.
He is survived by his wife and one daughter, Mary, at home, and four sons, Charles of Syracuse, NY, W.B. of North Baltimore, OH, H.A. of Bowling Green, Drs. O. C. and E.L. of Fremont. He also leaves a brother John in California. Three grandchildren also survive.
