He was born April 12, 1922, at Clearfield, a son of the late Bernard and Anna Ollinger Sheehe. Earlier in life he was married to Mary Margaret Kusibab, who preceded him in death. He later married Mary Louise Rice, who also preceded him in death.
Robert served in the U.S. Army with the 838th Ordnance Depot Company, during World War II.
He worked as a mechanic for B and O Railroad for many years, then went to work at Applied Science Research in State College. Following his retirement, Bob worked as a crossing guard within the Borough of State College.
He was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in State College, and a former member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Scrapbooking was one of his favorite hobbies. He had a collection of over one hundred scrapbooks covering various subjects with an emphasis on bird and animals. He especially enjoyed bird watching.
Surviving him are three sisters, Sister Anna Callenbach of Gettysburg, Sister Joel Marie of Immaculate Heart of Mary and Mary Boyle of Georgia
In addition to his parents and wives he was preceded in death by a son, Robert W. Sheehe Jr.; sister, Mary Boyle; and three brothers, Bernard, Edward, and George Sheehe.
At his request a private mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of victory Catholic Church in State College. Burial will be at Centre County Memorial Park, State College, PA.
