Leola M. Abbott
Leola M. Abbott, age 98, of the Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community passed away at the home on Sunday, March 29, 2009. She was the wife of the late Shelby Abbott who passed away on December 13, 1999.
She was born in Williamsburg, OH, daughter of the late Ohmar & Nettie Bell Bragdon. She attended Calvary Monument Bible Church of Paradise. Along with her late husband, they were active with Gideons International for over 50 years.
Surviving are three children: Faye wife of Lawrence Ware of Ashland, OH, Linda Ballou of Conroe, TX, Dr. David husband of Wendy Ritschell Bilheimer Abbott of Quarryville, 10 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
A memorial service will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Mrs. Abbott's memory to Gideons International, P.O. Box 163, Strasburg, PA 17579-0163. Arrangements by the Shivery Funeral Home, Christiana & Paradise.
