Elliott was born April 23, 1928, in Quanah, Texas, son of the late Benjamin Elliott and Viola Mae Harsh. He married Julie Jeanne Wommack on Oct. 25, 1953. She preceded him in death along with a son Paul Elliott Jr., two brothers an three sisters.
Paul served in the United States Army during World War II and retired from Burlington Northern Railroad. He was a member of Whitewater United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a son, Danny R. Elliott and wife Nancy of Marble Hill, Mo; two brothers, David Elliott and wife Wanda of Stillwater, Okla., and Frank Elliott and wife Lavonna of Scott City; two sisters, Imogene Wold and husband Tom or Orland Park, Ill., and Mary Evans and husband Wayne of High Ridge, Mo.; four grandchildren, Shane Elliott and wife Rhonda of Jackson, Chris Elliott and wife Chrissy of Jackson, Tiffany Vandeven of Whitewater and Ashley Dooley and husband Jon of Evansville, Ind.; and four great-grandchildren.
The family will hold a memorial service at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield at a later date. McDaniel Funeral Service of Kennett, Mo., was in charge of cremation arrangements.
