Fred E. Adams, 68, of St. Marys, died Sunday at the Veterans
Administration Medical Center in Pittsburgh, PA.

He was born in St. Marys, a son of the late Austin and Maria Bailey
Adams. He was a salesman, a World War II Marine Corps veteran and a
former member of the St. Marys Athletic Boosters.

He is survived by his wife, Bette Adams; three sons, including twin
sons Rick of Belmont and Mike of St. Marys, and Ted Adams of
Charleston; a daughter, Janie, at home; a brother, Don Adams of
Belmont; two sisters, Mable Wagner of St. Clairsville, OH, and Mary
Sayre of Gallipolis, OH, six grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by 10 brothers and sisters.

The funeral was held at 11am Wednesday at the Ruttencutter Funeral
Home in St. Marys, with William Renner officiating. Burial was in
the St. Marys IOOF Cemetery.
