Alan is survived by his parents, four daughters, eight grandchildren, four brothers, two sisters, two aunts, two uncles, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. He was well-known and well-loved and had accumulated a host of friends in his 58 years. His daughters and grandchildren brought him a great deal of joy and he was always devoted to his brothers, sisters and parents.
Alan's two best friends were a cat named Lucky and a beautiful, spunky little dog named Jake. The family established a Memorial to Alan at Caring Hands Humane Society in Newton.
Services were held in Newton, Kansas. Alan was laid to rest in the family plot at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Solomon, Kansas. This son, father, grandfather, brother and friend is greatly missed, yet all are grateful that his many years of suffering and pain are now over. He rests in the arms of the Lord.
