Mrs. Anton Markowski, 79, of 1228 S. 20th St., Manitowoc, died Monday at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Thaddeus J. Koszarek will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Markowski, nee Blanche A. Ziarnik, was born Jan. 16, 1895, at Manitowoc, daughter of the late Frank and Mary Becker Ziarnik. She was married to Anton Markowski May 22, 1923, at St. Mary church, Manitowoc. They celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1973. She was self-employed as a seamstress and was a member of St. Mary Rosary Society.
Survivors include her husband, a son, Clarence, two daughters, Mrs. Chester (Carol) Budysz and Mrs. Eugene (Lenore) Mrotek, and a brother, Leo Ziarnik, of Manitowoc; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Four brothers and a sister preceded her in death.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home from 3 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, where the Rosary will be recited at 3:30 p.m. by St. Mary Rosary Society and a wake service will be held at 7:30 p.m.
