Mrs. Frances A. Matte, 81, of 938 S. 26th St., Manitowoc, died Thursday afternoon, Dec. 13, at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 9:30 a.m. Monday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and 10 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The rev. Harold Berryman will officiate and burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Matte, nee Frances Drill, was born Dec. 4, 1898, at Manitowoc, daughter of the late George and Anastasia Burry Drill. She was married to Herbert Matte Feb. 9, 1920, at St. Mary Catholic Church. He preceded her in death April 21, 1977. She was a member of St. Mary Rosary Society.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Arnold and Dolores Matte and Orville and Marian Matte and a son, Hilary Matte of Manitowoc; two daughters and sons-in-law, Janice and Bruno Ambrose of Marlboro, Mass., and Margo and Arthur Perrodin of Newton; three brothers, Stanley Drill of Milwaukee and Theodore and Henry Drill of Manitowoc; three sisters, Mrs. Pauline Osesek and Mr. Ed (Elsie) Podrabsky of Manitowoc and Mrs. Helen Labinski of Milwaukee, 15 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. A granddaughter, Allison Ambrose, preceded her in death.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, where members of St. Mary Rosary Society will conduct a service at 4:30 p.m. and Father Berryman will conduct a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.
