JOSEPHINE MIX
(1875 - 1945)

Mrs. Josephine Mix, 1129, S. 20th street, died this morning at the Madison General hospital where she underwent an operation two weeks ago.

Born in Kewaunee on Nov. 2, 1875, Mrs. Mix was the former Josephine O'Konski. In 1898 she was united in marriage with John Mix of Menasha in this city who was in the employ of the Rahr Malting company. He died 11 years ago.

Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Anton Kazda, and three sons, Harry, Francis and John Mix, all of Manitowoc, two sisters, Mrs. Frank Merkel and Mrs. Joseph Kowalski, also of this city.

The funeral will be Friday morning at 8:30 a.m. at the Leschke funeral home, and at 9 o'clock at St. Mary's Catholic church with the Rev. John Landowski officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body may be viewed at the funeral home from Wednesday on.

Mrs. Mix was a member of the Rosary and St. Agnes societies.
