JOHN MROTEK PASSES AWAY
Born In Poland 78 Years Ago, Lived Here 53 Years


John Mrotek, 78, died at his home, 1620 Madison street, at 2:30 yesterday afternoon.

Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 8:30 from the hoe and at 9 o'clock from the St. Mary's church. Burial will be made in the St. Mary's cemetery. The body was taken to the home late this afternoon from the Shimek and Schwartz funeral home.

Mr. Mrotek was born in Poland December 12, 1857. He came to America with his parents when he was only a year old. Since 1882 he has lived in Manitowoc. He was married to Katherine Niespodzany 54 years ago. The couple celebrated their golden wedding anniversary four years ago.

Survivors include his widow, four daughters, Mrs. Barney Gospodarek, Mrs. Theodore Wergin, Mrs. Anton Jacoboski and Mrs. Roland LaFond, all of this city; one son, Francis of Manitowoc; a sister, Mrs. Mary Kedow of Kewaunee; and ten grandchildren.
