John A. Mrotek, 62, of 1238 South 19th street, died early today at the Holy Family hospital after a lingering illness.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning, at 8:30 o'clock from the Pfeffer funeral home and at 9 o'clock from the St. Mary's Catholic church with the Rev. John Landowski officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's cemetery.
Mr. Mrotek was born Feb. 5, 1881 in West Kewaunee and came to Manitowoc with his parents a few years later. He followed the carpenter trade and was employed at the shipyards here up to the time of his last illness. His wife died several years ago.
Survivors are three sons, Eugene of this city, David in Australia and Leonard John in Africa; three sisters, Miss Blanche Mrotek, city, Mrs. Ella Rohrer, city, and Mrs. Rose Landowski of Milwaukee; and two grandchildren.
