John P. Mrotek, 81, of 1504 New York Ave., Manitowoc, died Wednesday at Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc, after a short illness.

Funeral services will be at 8:30 am Saturday at Urbanek and Schlei Fuenral Home and at 9 am at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rt. Rev. Msgr. John Landowski will officiate and burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery.

Mr. Mrotek was born Nov. 18, 1884, at Manitowoc, son of the late Wencel and Josephine Powolisz Mrotek. He married Katherine Hoffman Oct. 24, 1905 and she died in 1942. He had been employed by Manitowoc Plating Works and Mirro Aluminum Co., retiring six years ago.

Survivors are a son, John A. of Manitowoc, two daughters, Miss Mary of Manitowoc and Sister Dulciana, of Centralia, Ill.; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 pm Friday where at 7 pm the Rosary will be recited.
