HARRY A. SR., 88, Taps on Tuesday November 12, 2013, around 1400 hours. Harry left this world to join the heavenly Marines - once a Marine always a Marine.
He died peacefully after battling the devastating effects of prostate cancer.

He had a variety of jobs, including Philadelphia Police Officer, throughout his life and loved to gamble.
He lived a colorful life. He was born in 'South' Phila-delphia, but spent the last half of his life living in Southern New Jersey.

He served in the United States Marine Corps during World War II and was a member of a few Veteran Service related originations in Atlantic County.

He is survived by his 3 children Barbara D'Ascenzo-Davis and her husband Frank, Harry D'Ascenzo Jr. and his wife Joann and Mark D'Ascenzo; his 5 grandchildren, Kimann Ibone and her husband John, Dina Calabrese, Daniel D'Ascenzo, Amber Davis and Stephen D'Ascenzo and his 3 great grandchildren, Johnny, Chris and Madison Ibone.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Harry's Life Celebration from 10 to 11 A.M., Monday, November 18, 2013, at the Church of the Assumption, 146 S. Pitney Rd, Galloway NJ. Memorial Mass will follow at 11 A.M. Burial Atlantic County Veterans Cemetery in Estell Manor. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka KS 66675.
