Morris A. Wastler, 65. died Sunday at, his home in Thurmont after a lengthy illness.
He was born in Thurmont, a son of the late Walter C. and Nora Six Wastler.
He was well-known over the county as a plasterer and a carpenter. He is a member of the Thurmont Church of the Brethren and also the Thurmont Guardian Hose Company.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Carrie E. Tressler Wastler; four daughters, Mrs. Edith Wastler of Friedmont, Ohio; Mrs. Phillis Martin of
Honesdale, Pa., Mrs. Bonnie Nikirk of Thurmont, and Miss Lois Wastler, at home; a son, Wayne Wastler of Thurmont: five grandchildren; a brother, Lester Wastler of Emmitsburg; and two sisters, Mrs. Bessie
Wright of Des Moins, Iowa; and Mrs. Ethel Fry of Thurmont. Friends may call at the Creager Funeral Home in Thurmont today after 7 p.m. Services will
be held at the funeral home Wednesday at 10:30 a.m.
His pastor, the Rev. Kenneth Franklin will officiate.
Burial will be in the Blue Ridge Cemetery in Thurmont.
The family requests that in lieu of floral tributes, donations be made to the Thurmont Guardian Hose Company.
