Mickey spent her life teaching us, by example, faith, dignity, grace, compassion and unconditional love. Her glass was always "half-full", seeing the good in everyone and everything.
Mickey was a lifelong member of the Nazarene Church and had a strong Christian faith.
Surviving are her step-mother, Irene Murnighan of Howell, MI; brother, Gerald (Norma) Murnighan of Willis, MI; daughter, Deborah (Pete) Belaire of Saline, MI; son, Forest (Debbie) Housner of Leeds, AL; step-sons Thomas (Carol) Smith of Howell, MI, James (Esta) Smith of Califonia, John (Kathleen) Smith of China, and Richard (Heidi) Smith, Taiwan. Additionally, Mickey was blessed with thirty-three grandchildren, twenty-seven great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Mickey was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Smith; mother, Francis Murnighan; father, Forest Murnighan; and brother, John Murnighan. She will be greatly missed by her family.
Services were held at MacDonald's Funeral Home, Howell on Thursday November 21.
