After an illness of three years' duration death came to relieve the sufferings of Carl Schultz, a well known and highly esteemed pioneer resident of this place. Decedent was 74 years of age and was a victim of cancer of the throat. He will long be remembered as a man of generous impulse and kindliness and the thought of him will always be associated with the memory of a man who is ever striving to let into the dark places of life the sunshine of human happiness.
Surviving Mr. Schultz are his wife and eight children: Lena and William of Milwaukee; Mrs. George Enz; Matilda, Emma, Fred, Ferdinand and Otto all of this place. The burial took place Tuesday afternoon from the German Evangelical church.
