Funeral rites for Mrs. Mary Etta Mickey, 73-year-old Floyd County pioneer, were conducted at the family home at Mickey at 3:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon. Elder George Mickey, a nephew of Portales, New Mexico, conducted the services.

Interment was in the Lockney cemetery under direction of Harmon Funeral Home of Floydada.

Mrs. Mickey died at her home at Mickey last Friday morning at 3:30 o'clock. She was born in Henderson County, Texas, on March 18, 1867. She was married to C. R. Mickey, who preceded her in death eleven years ago, and came with her husband to this county in 1905. Mr. Mickey was a pioneer merchant.

Mr. and Mrs. Mickey settled at the community which bears their name living there until 1909, and returned to this county in 1916, having lived here since that time.

Mrs. Mickey is survived by five children, Roy R. Mickey of Lubbock, Floyd and J. E. Mickey of Mickey, Mrs. Iva Bowles of Comanche, and Miss Bonnie Mickey of Mickey, 17 grandchildren and three great grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Also surviving her are a brother, Jho. B. Richardson of Cleburne, Texas and a sister Mrs. __za Willmon, of Duncan, Oklahoma.

Pallbearers at the services Saturday afternoon were Clarence Guffee, James H. Holmes, W. M. Knight, H. H. Graham, Lee Pope, and J. V. Greer.

In charge of floral offerings were Mrs. Thelda Olds, Mrs. Willard Atcheson, Mary Lou Bowles, Mary Helen Mickey, Decie Dimple Mickey, and Esther Mickey, granddaughter.

Miss Faye Morrison of Petersburg had charge of the register at the home.
