MISSOULA - Wilda Mae Culp passed away Monday, Jan. 23, 2012, of natural causes. Wilda was born Oct. 1, 1929, to Roy and Marie Robinson of Alva, Wyo.
On Jan. 25, 1947, she married Charles L. "Whitey" Culp in Cyr. The couple lived in western Montana their entire lives. They raised their family in the Alberton area before moving to Missoula. She retired from Fasteners Inc. after more than 20 years.
Wilda enjoyed spending time with her family, camping, fishing, traveling, gardening and anything outdoors. One of her favorite things to do was pick huckleberries. She loved wildflowers, birds and wild animals. She was a huge Grizzy and Seattle Mariners fan.
Wilda was preceded in death by her husband Whitey and brother Leroy Robinson. She is survived by her sons James (Judy) of Spokane, Robert of Frenchtown and Steve (Jackie) of Kent, Wash.; brothers Loy (Marge) Robinson of Kalispell and Lester (Joann) Robinson of Ninemile; sisters Nova Hanlan of Missoula, Sherron (Kent) Lunders of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, and Lois (Norm) Mix of Kennewick, Wash.; sister-in-law Elsie Robinson of Drummond; and several nieces and nephews. Wilda has 10 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Viewing will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. A gathering will be held at the funeral home following the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials in Wilda's name to the Missoula Food Bank.
