Cynthia Baum Tassini, 95, of Chittenango, formerly of Inlet and Pleasant Valley, died Thursday at Iroquois Nursing Home. She was the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Henry Clay Baum of Syracuse and niece of L. Frank Baum, author of "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz." She was predeceased by her husband, Dr. Ralph Tassini, and a grandson. Survivors: her son, M. John (Hannah) White of Syracuse; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and two special friends, Barbara Evans and Colleen Zimmer. Services: 2 p.m. Tuesday at G. F. Zimmer Funeral Home, 702 Legion Dr., Chittenango. Calling hour will be 1 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Spring burial will be in Pleasant Valley.
