GLENNVILLE -- James Auvin Hughes, 59, died May 9 (2000) at his home in Glennville under Hospice Savannah care.
He was a native of Montgomery, Ala., and lived in New Orleans for many years before moving to Glennville about a year ago. He was a Navy veteran, a carpenter and a Baptist.
SURVIVORS: two sons, James A. Hughes Jr. and Mark R. Hughes, both of New Orleans; his father, Auvin J. Hughes of Glennville; two brothers, Robert W. Hughes of Glennville and Ronald R. Hughes of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; a grandson and several nieces and nephews.
VISITATION: 6-8 p.m. today at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home in New Orleans.
FUNERAL: Friday at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home in New Orleans, burial in Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in New Orleans.
