"Gerry" was born on a farm in Grundy County, Missouri in 1921, the second of five children of Elza and Irene Grisamore. Failing on the farm the family came out to Redlands, California in the late 1920s. Gerry graduated from Redlands High School, class of 1939, attended San Bernardino Valley College, and was a USO girl supporting the troops in World War II. She married William G. Green in 1947. She worked for the Redlands Unified School District and lived with Bill in Sacramento and the Bay area before settling in Riverside in 1971. Gerry was a wonderful homemaker, grandmother, and an accomplished artist. Gerry was married 59 years until Bill's death in 2006, also on November 14.
Gerry was preceded in death by her mother and father, her brothers Garold, Lorren, Ralph, and her sister Marjorie. She is survived by her beloved daughter Patricia Johnson, her granddaughters Allison and Katherine, and her son-in-law Christopher Johnson. She is also survived by treasured nieces and nephews.
Gerry will be interred in a private ceremony at Hillside Memorial Cemetery in Redlands next to her husband and among many other family members.
