Eva Lilly Epperson, age 96, of Topeka, passed away Monday, November 18, 2013.

She married Austin Epperson in 1935; he preceded her in death in October 1987. They had 5 children; Ken (Marilyn) Epperson, Lois (Gene deceased) Melroy, Elmer (Charlotte) Epperson, Sherman (JoAnn) Epperson, and David Epperson, 13 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, and sister Etta Tarwater.

She was preceded in death by 7 brothers, 2 sisters, and grandchildren Jamie Melroy and Stacy Epperson.

Mrs. Epperson was a housekeeper at Brewster Place for over 20 years. Eva was very active in her church, singing in the choir, a Sunday school teacher, and Deaconess.

She was an avid bible student with the Menninger Bible Course.

Funeral services will be Friday November 22, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Southern Baptist Church. She will lie in state Thursday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Davidson Funeral Home with visitation from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Southern Baptist Church and sent in care of the Davidson Funeral Home, 1035 N. Kansas Ave, Topeka, KS 66608.
