Last name conflict: In the 1850 Census Nancy's parents are listed as David J. & Elizabeth Ames; in the 1860 Census Nancy's parents are listed as David J. & Elizabeth Emes; in the 1870 Census Elizabeth is a widow and listed as Elizabeth Ames; their memorial's are listed as David J. & Elizabeth Eames. I listed Nancy with the maiden name of Ames since that is the name she is listed with in the 1850 Census. Nancy's Humboldt County Death Index record did not list a maiden name, nor did I find a birth or marriage record. However, I did find one of her brother's Maine Death record and he is listed as David C. Ames with parents David J. Ames and Elizabeth Farnham.
Nancy's daughter, Eva Bernice (Little) Tuell, Maine Death record listed Nancy's maiden name as Ames and Nancy's birth place as Calais, Maine. Not known if Calais, Maine is actually Nancy's birth place but according to all the U.S. Federal Census she was definitely born in Maine.
Nancy married Andrew Little about 1857 in Maine.
