FUNERAL OF MRS BOYD

The funeral of Mrs. John BOYD whose death occured last Friday in Los Angeles California, and whose remains arrived in this city during last night, was held this noon at twelve o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Dan STOUT on North Main street. Carrie BARR BOYD was born in Morgan County, Illinois, November 15, 1855 and moved to Iowa with her parents when but ten years of age. In 1875 she was married to John H. BOYD. The greater part of their married life was spent in this city although they had spent some time in Kansas and Minnesota.

In 1907 they left this city for Los Angeles where they lived until the death angel called Mrs. BOYD to the other land. Five children survive the deceased. They are Mrs. Dan STOUT of this city, Willard BOYD of Kansas City, Ernest BOYD of Lake City, Minn., and Mrs. Will PREWITT and Mrs. Russell MORRIS of Los Angeles, California.

The remains were accompanied to this city by Mr. and Mrs. Russell MORRIS, Mr. BOYD, the husband, being ill and unable to stand the trip. Many beautiful floral emblems and bouquets were sent with the sympathies of friends to the saddened home this morning and placed upon the casket by loving hands. The body was taken to the Brooks cemetery near Brookville and laid to rest.
