The 84th division was activated in September 1917 at Camp Taylor, Kentucky. It remained at Camp Taylor until it was deployed in October 1918 to serve as replacements to be sent to the Western Front. The division was sent home at war's end. They did not see any combat and were inactivated in January 1919.
