Wellesley, Mass., Sept. 17. -
Herbert F. Plympton, chairman of the executive committee of the Republican state central committee, committed suicide about 4 p.m., in his father's house at Wellesley Hills, by shooting himself with a revolver. Mr. Plympton was about [xx?] years old, was a remarkably bright and energetic politician. He had been actively at work in the interest of the campaign for the last month. When the report of a pistol was heard investigation was immediately made and Mr. Plympton was found lying on the floor with the smoking revolver in his hand. He died almost instantly. No cause is known.
