Reverend William E. "Sonny" Bradshaw Jr. of Yazoo City MS went home to be with his Lord on Friday, November 1, 2013. He was born on November 15, 1930 and is preceded in death by his parents, brother and sister. He is survived by his wife, Lora Lee Douglas Bradshaw. His children include his son John F. "Bubba" (Bonnie) Bradshaw of Moundville AL, his daughters Nona Woods of Moundville AL, Brenda Abernathy of Moundville AL, Debbie (Darrel) Hughes of Moundville AL, Janet (Andy) Smelley of Northport AL, Debbie (Terry) Horton of Yazoo City, MS, Beverly (Norris) Ables of Soso MS, Amanda (Doug) Davis of Cleveland TN, Lisa (Jamie) Kitchens of Byram MS, Leslie ( Jay) Knight of Cleveland TN. He has 17 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. He started preaching on June 15, 1955 - 2013 and has been a true and faithful servant for his Lord for 58 years. He pastored many churches including Short Creek Baptist, Beaver Creek Baptist, Providence Baptist, West End Baptist, Gillsburg Baptist, Moundville Baptist, Sardis Baptist, Eden Baptist and Oil City Baptist. He also pastored Damascus Baptist church for 28 years. He presently was pastoring at Eagle Lake Baptist Church of Vicksburg MS. He received his Masters Degree in Theology / Psychology from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He was also a Mason for over 50 years. He loved studying God's word, fishing, hunting and spending time with church family, family and friends. Funeral arrangements will be held at Stricklin-King Funeral Home in Yazoo City with visitation on Monday, November 4 from 5-7 pm. Service will be Tuesday, November 5 at 11 am in the chapel with burial to follow at Glenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Eagle Lake Baptist Church building fund, 15481 Hwy 465 - Vicksburg MS 39183 or Bancorp South.
