Minnie M. Apsey age 92 of Perry, passed away Saturday, November 23, 2013 at Barton Woods Assisted Living in Freeland, MI.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at 12 noon with Pastor Nancy Powers officiating. Family will greet friends on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will take placed in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
Minnie was born on December 6, 1920 at the family home at Pittsburg Corners to Clyde and Alta (Dakin) Smith. She was a graduate of Perry High School class of 1938. She married Leslie George Apsey on June 29, 1940 and he predeceased her in 2001. She worked as a clerk for the Guy Langdon Insurance Company in Bancroft and for many years for Michigan Millers Insurance Company in Lansing. Minnie was a member of Perry United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her son Gary Apsey of Freeland, grandchildren, Mark (Mary) Apsey, Michael (Tania) Apsey, Marcia Apsey Lewis, Karen Apsey, Kevin (April) Apsey and Alix Apsey, great-grandchildren, Nicole, Issac, Ian, Zachary, Tyler, Jacob, Ryan, Paige, Vanessa(Tod) Bauman, Peyton and Ethan.
