Was Widow of J. G. Meltabarger, Civil War Vet, Who Died Here Year Ago. Funeral Tomorrow At Blue Mound.

Mary Dorcas Meltabarger, 79 years of age, widow of John G. Meltabarger of West Plains, died suddenly last night at 11:30 o'clock at the home of a son, James A. Goss, who lives 16 miles southwest of West Plains. She had been in frail health for some time.
Mrs. Meltabarger was born in Kentucky, August 27, 1855 (should be 1854) and came to Howell county fifty one years ago.
Before her marriage to John G. Meltabarger, a Civil War veteran, twenty years ago, she was Mrs. Mary Gordon. For a number of years she and her husband lived on East Maple Avenue here and both were known to a large circle of friends. She was a member of the Church of God. Services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock at Blue Mound church near Pottersville and burial will be in Blue Mound cemetery.
