Arthur McKinley Boothe, age 70, of Northport, died November 25, 2013, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 27, 2013, at Arbor Springs Baptist Church with Dr. Ted Sessoms and Dr. Gene Livingston officiating. Burial will follow in Arbor Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church.
He was preceded in death by his father, Archie McKinley Boothe; and mother, Iona Jacob Boothe; grandmother, Buna Boothe; and grandfather, Lawrence Boothe.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Emma Jewell Boothe of Northport; daughter, Bethany Joy Boothe; sons, Kevin McKinley Boothe (Melanie) and Arthur Kerry Boothe (Patsy); sister, Betty Sue Beard (Jimmy); brothers, Tommy Boothe (Jo Anne) and Gary Wayne Boothe; grandchildren, Brittany Boothe, Kassi Boothe Trawick (Matt), Dylan Boothe (Kayla), and Chase Boothe; and great-grandchildren, Payton Church, Emma Watkins, and Ellie Mae Farley.
Arthur attended Tuscaloosa County High School, worked as a mechanic for 51 years, and owned Foreign Car Repair. He loved his family, Alabama football, and fishing. He spent his last two years of his life loving his Lord and Savior and cherishing his church family.
