Ralph Warren Gandy, 86, a longtime resident of Freer, Texas completed his journey on Tuesday, November 26, 2013 after a short illness at his home. He was born and raised in Homer, Louisiana, served two years in the US Navy in WWII, moved to a small town southwest of Falfurrias, named Kelsey Bass, Texas where he worked at Humble Oil Refining Co., and later met the love of his life, his wife Mell Rose, whom he was married to for 64 years.

He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially turkey hunting. He enjoyed sharing memories and wisdom with his family and friends. He was a loving husband, dad, and granddaddy who will be sadly missed by all his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Carl Albine and Lou Ella Gandy, his grandson, Neil Warren Gandy.

Interment will follow service at the Hahl Memorial Cemetery in Freer, Texas
