The Owen Leader.
Dec. 8, 1955

Mrs. Myrtle Coffey Adderley 85 years old, a native of Spencer, died Saturday at the Reapp Convalescent Home where she had been patient a few weeks.
Her husband, Fred, preceded her in death a number of years ago.
Following Mr. Adderley's death, she worked at the World's Products Co., for many years, and devoted much of her leisure time to ail paintings. She produced many beautiful pictures that she sold and gave to her host of friends. Several of her pictures were on display at various times at the office of The Owen Leader and many remarked that they were well lone and very beautiful.
She was born May 3, 1870, a daughter of Wiley and Harriett (McDonald) Coffey. Early in life she became a member of the Spencer Christian Church, and attended when possible.
Mrs. Adderley was very quiet and unassuming, but she had a great love for her family and host of friends. Indeed she was a fine neighbor and friend.
Following death the body was taken to the West & Son Funeral Home where final rites were held Monday afternoon at two o'clock. Rec. Myron H. Willard in charge and interment was made in Riverside Cemetery.
