Born in Denver, CO December 29, 1948, to William Joseph Carson and Mary Elizabeth Eisenman Carson. Corinne died March 15, 2002, in Seattle. A long-time accountant with Seattle Community Colleges Central Office, she lived as a child in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, and in La Paz, Bolivia, while her father served in the U.S. Diplomatic Corps. She graduated from Bishop Kelly HS, Boise, ID, and Loretta Heights College, Denver. She spent a summer studying Spanish in Guadalajara, Mexico, and another on a college humanitarian project in Soto la Marina, Taumoulipas, Mexico. After two terms with the Peace Corps on St. Vincent Island, West Indies, she taught in San Pedro Sula, Honduras, then in bilingual posts in Weiser, Idaho and Immokalee, Florida, before she moved to Seattle. In 1981, she married Bruce Jon Lyon, who survives, with their son Luke Andrew Lyon; her mother Mary Eiseman Carson; brother Paul Thomas Carson (Mary); and nephews Joseph, Eric and Dylan Carson, all of Seattle; uncles Alfred Carson (Dorothy) and Joseph Striby of Indianapolis, and Joseph Eisenman (Helen) of Prescott Valley, AZ; aunts Rosemary Igel (Anthony) of Creve Coeur, MO, Margaret and Mary Gertrude Carson of Indianapolis, Margaret Eisenman of Greeley, CO, and Patricia Eisenman of Boise, ID. She is preceded in death by her father and two brothers, Damien Joseph Carson (infant) and Chad Leonard Carson (Vietnam). Bahai Faith Graveside Service in Holyrood Cemetery, Tuesday, March 19, at 2:30 p.m. Bleitz Funeral Home in charge. Remembrances may be made to American Cancer Society.
