Mrs. Becken passed away at 1:30 Monday afternoon at her home in Withee, being the victim of a heart attack. She was 85 years, 4 months and 5 days of age.
She was born in Wisconsin April 18, 1896 and had been a resident of the Owen and Withee area since 1908. In 1905 she was married to Albert Newmann in a ceremony performed at Glenwood City. He passed away in 1940 and 11 years later she and the late Gustave Becken were wed. He, too, preceded her in death, passing away in April of this year.
She is survived by two sons, Howard Newman of Owen and Harris Newman of Marshfield; two daughters, Mrs. Myrtle Olson, Manitowoc and Mrs. Anna Long, Curtiss; two step-children, Mrs. Maxine Potocnik, Owen and Leslie Becken, Milwaukee; 37 grandchildren 70 great-grandchildren, and 21 great-great-grandchildren.
