Mr. Albert Donald Atkins, age 79, of Rome, passed away Tuesday November 19, 2013 at his residence.
Mr. Atkins was born November, 9, 1934, in Cherokee County Alabama, a son of the late Clarence Young Atkins, and Dora Mae Bradley Atkins. He was retired from Outside Carpet. He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Dean Atkins, sons, Tony Ladon Atkins, and Ronald Harvard Atkins.
Survivors include sons, Steve Atkins, Hershell Terrell, daughters, Brenda Gail Morales, Regina Annette (Sam) Hooper, Wanda Sue Cook, sister, Vera (Adolph) Atkins Riendeau, and Vola Lewis, 15, grandchildren, several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 P.M. Friday November 22, 2013, at Parnick Jennings, Sr.'s Good Shepherd Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Samuel Hooper, and Rev. Ronnie Pope, officiating. Interment will follow in Floyd Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday November 21, 2013 at Parnick Jennings, Sr.'s Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 2750 Shorter Ave. Rome, Ga. 30165.
