Wendyl A. OGDEN

Wendyl A. OGDEN, 77, of 605 Hillside Drive died at 2:45 a.m. Sunday, June 8, 2003, at Good Samaritan Center in Keosauqua.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at First Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Jan Burns-Hintze officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:30-8 p.m. Wednesday at Raymond Funeral Home.

Memorials have been established to the Presbyterian Church Scholarship fund or to the charity of the donor's choice.

Mr. OGDEN was born July 1, 1925, in Batavia, the son of Isaac Allen and Nellie Faith GLOTFELTY OGDEN. He married Bernice BUCKINGHAM June 10, 1956, in the Church of the Brethren near Libertyville.

Mr. OGDEN was a graduate of Libertyville High School. As a farmer, he lived his entire life in the Jefferson County community, until five years ago when he and his wife moved to Fairfield.

Mr. OGDEN was a member of First Presbyterian Church and served as an elder at the church. He also served several years on the Farmers Home administration board and the Jefferson County Compensation Board. He formerly was a member of the Fairfield Lions Club.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Peggy TRACEY and husband Andrew of Bellevue, Neb., and Kelley CHEZUM and husband Brian, Canton, N.Y.; two granddaughters; and one brother, Paul OGDEN of Ottumwa.

Mr. OGDEN was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Bettye STORTZ.
