Allen Leroy Dodd Sr, 86, of 701 Ironwood Drive died at 8:05 a m today at his residence after a lengthy illness. The Warren County native was a co-owner of Bowling Green Express, a 50-year member of the American National Bank board of directors and president of Planter's Tobacco Warehouse. He was a member of Elks Lodge and the Knights of Columbus. He was a son of the late Allen and Rose Massey Dodd.
Funeral will be at 11 a m Saturday at St Joseph Catholic Church, where he was a member, with burial in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be 7 p m to 9 p m Friday at H C Kirby and Son Funeral Chapel. Prayer service will be at 6:30 p m Friday at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife, Sarah Dodd; a son; Allen L Dodd Jr of Bowling Green; two daughters, Rose Ellen Allen of Louisville and Cynthia Dodd Quinn of Paris, Tennessee; one sister, Mrs Gleason Raybold of Bowling Green; 13 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
