--Occupation: He worked over 40 years for Associate Press, starting as a copy boy and working his way up to Chief of Communications. He often said his proudest moment on the job was Feb. 20, 1962 when he set up the teletype machines at Cape Canaveral, FL. Because he was previously a teletype operator, he was allowed to type and send the copy of John Glenn's space shot when he was the first American to orbit the earth.
--Frank married Eleanor Witt. They lived in a variety of states before settling in Charlotte. They were married 65 years & had 2 children: Linda and Larry Turner. 3 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren & 5 step-great-grandchildren.
--He died just 6 hours after his wife, not knowing of her passing.
