BRAUN, ANNA (CLUSEN)

MRS. B. BROWN(sic) PASSES AWAY AT MINOT, N.D.
Telegrams to relatives brought news of the death Saturday at Trinity hospital
at Minot, North Dakota, of Mrs. Benjamin E. Braun of Drake, North Dakota. The
body will be taken to Drake where the funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon.
Mrs. Braun had been at the hospital for an operation and death came
unexpectedly.
Mrs. Braun who was Anna Clusen before her marriage, was born at Two Rivers
May 12, 1891 and would have been thirty-seven at her next birthday. The family
moved to this city when she was a child. She was married to Mr. Braun in
January, 1918 and the family has always made its home there. Surviving her are
the husband, five children, Florence, Elizabeth, Erma, Bernice and Donald, a
brother, Albert Clusen of Two Rivers and five sisters, Mrs. R.H. Kolb of
Chelsea, Wis., Mrs. Henry Harder of Medford, Mrs. Caris Brown of Alma, Mich.,
Mrs. Magner Roen and Mrs. Fred Barnstein of this city.
Mr. R.H. Kolb and Albert Clusen left Sunday for Drake to attend the funeral.

Per Marriage Records, Anna Margaret Clusen married Bernhard Edward Braun on 28 January 1915 in Drake, McHenry County, North Dakota. Later that same year, their first child, Florence Louise (Orville Aanrud) was born in October of 1915. Dorothy Elizabeth (Edward A. Huhtanen) in 1916 in MT, Arline Annette (Donald F. Neibauer) in 1918 in MT, Bernice Luella (Sidney L Ayers) in 1921 in ND, and Donald Edward (Bernice Trenda) in 1923. After her passing, prior to 1930, Bernhard remarried and had at least six additional children.
